Andrew McCabe irks some CNN colleagues: ‘I have no sympathies for him’
The potential charges relate to Justice Department inspector general findings against the CNN pundit regarding misleading statements tied to a Hillary Clinton-related investigation. The situation has raised eyebrows across the media industry and created a headache for the liberal-leaning CNN. Some CNN staffers were reportedly aghast when the network hired McCabe in late August, simply because he’d been fired from the FBI for lying. Now that charges against McCabe are seemingly looming, some of the shock has turned to anger and confusion.

In the video, which was posted on Al-Sahab’s official Telegram channel, al-Zawahiri accused Iran of partnering with the United States in its wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, and praised the Taliban, saying they had drained the U.S. “which sought to negotiate with the Taliban to get out of Afghanistan.”

Major Uncertainty in the Future of 95L Developing Over The Bahamas
An area of disturbed weather (95L) over the southeast and central Bahamas is growing more organized and is likely to form into a tropical depression or tropical storm by Saturday as it heads northwest at 5 – 10 mph towards Florida. The system was bringing heavy rain showers and strong winds to the southeast and central Bahamas on Thursday; Blue Lagoon Island, near Nassau, recorded sustained winds of 29 mph, gusting to 32, at 8:10 am EDT. A hurricane hunter aircraft is scheduled to investigate 95L on Thursday afternoon, if needed. The next name on the Atlantic list of storms is Humberto.

Trump admin releasing name of suspected Saudi official who aided 9/11 hijackers to 9/11 families
The Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigations will be releasing the name of a previously redacted Saudi official who helped the terrorist hijackers prepare for the 9/11 attacks. After months of urging by the families of 9/11 victims and repeated delays, the FBI said it would provide the name, but no additional information, and the name will only be provided to the families — not the public

Netanyahu: U.S. Recognition of Strategic Areas is ‘Changing the Course of Jewish History’
Regarding his announcement on Tuesday regarding the annexation of the Jordan Valley, Netanyahu said he had notified the White House prior to making the announcement, and that “someone in the White House” had said off the record that “Netanyahu’s plan does not impinge on Trump’s.” “That’s saying a lot,” said Netanyahu.

US Navy ship is carrying a powerful new missile near South China Sea
The USS Gabrielle Giffords is carrying a powerful new missile to help U.S. forces in the Pacific region, a disputed region of the world over which China wants to control…. the weapons system is designed to skim over the sea, making it difficult to spot on radar. It is also designed to maneuver to avoid enemy defenses. The Navy is also fielding the MQ-8B Fire Scout helicopter drone, which is used to scout for targets.

Trump Blasts Obama: I’m President of the US, Not the World
President Donald Trump offered a defense of his “America First” policies Monday during a North Carolina rally in which he contrasted his efforts to make Europe pay its fair share of defense costs with the administration of former President Barack Obama. “You finally have a president who understands that I’m not supposed to be president of the world; I’m supposed to be President of the United States of America to bring back our jobs from other countries,” Trump told the crowd. “I read where Obama is more popular in Germany than Trump. He’s got to be. I’m making people pay their bills. He’s got to be. The day I’m more popular than him, I’m not doing my job,” he said.

Mysterious flashes of light seen emanating from the galaxy’s central black hole
Earlier this year though the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy flared up in an unprecedented light show, and astronomers don’t really know why. On May 13 this year, Sgr A* gave off a near-infrared flare 75 times brighter than usual, in as little as two hours. At its peak, the black hole appeared double the brightness of its previous personal best, which astronomers described as “unprecedented” in 24 years of observations.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel might head to a military operation in the Gaza Strip before elections take place, Channel 13 reported on Friday morning, upon returning from a visit to Russia, saying that such an act “could happen at any moment.” This statement came just one day after Netanyahu said that “it looks like there will be no other choice but to embark on a wide-scale campaign in Gaza.”

John Bercow has vowed “creativity” in Parliament if Boris Johnson ignores a law designed to stop a no-deal Brexit. The Commons Speaker also said in a speech that the only possible Brexit was one backed by MPs. A new law, passed before the suspension of Parliament, forces the PM to seek a delay until 31 January 2020, unless a deal or no-deal exit is approved by MPs by 19 October.

Torrential rain has caused flooding in Spain and the Balearics

An elderly couple were killed when floodwaters flipped their car over in Castilla La Mancha, emergency services said. Nearby, in the Valencia region, dozens of people had to be evacuated when at least two rivers burst their banks.

INCOMING! Mysterious object from interstellar space ‘approaching our solar system’
A MYSTERIOUS object from deep space is fizzing towards the Solar System – and scientists have no idea what it is. Dubbed “C/2019 Q4”, the high-speed body appears to be on a path originating from another star system that will see it fire past Mars in October. That would make it only the second interstellar visitor ever known to have reached the Solar System.

450 miles of border wall by next year? In Arizona, it starts
On a dirt road past rows of date trees, just feet from a dry section of Colorado River, a small construction crew is putting up a towering border wall that the government hopes will reduce — for good — the flow of immigrants who cross the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. Cicadas buzz and heavy equipment rumbles and beeps before it lowers 30-foot-tall (9-meters-tall) sections of fence into the dirt.

Newfound comet likely an ‘interstellar visitor,’ scientists say
A newly discovered comet hurtling toward the orbit of Mars has scientists scurrying to confirm whether it came from outside the solar system, a likely prospect that would make it the second such interstellar object observed in our planetary neighborhood. The trajectory of the comet…follows a highly curved path barreling in the sun’s direction…evidence that it originated beyond the solar system.
