In Revelation 17, we read about a World Religion that will exercise control over the whole world in cooperation a World Government. A harlot is a woman who is unfaithful to her husband, a church that is unfaithful to Christ is a harlot church. A church who is married to anti-God governments and to apostate groups is a harlot church.

For nearly a hundred years now, the Ecumenical movement has sought to bring all religions together. It is however, only in more recent years that a movement has sprung up among Evangelicals to draw them into this apostate group. It appeared from the start of his ministry, that Rick Warren was leading Evangelicals in this direction. Many, however, have sought to give him the benefit of the doubt on this matter. Now all doubts about Rick Warren’s ecumenical agenda have been removed. Only those who are deceived will continue to support this man’s agenda.

I quote the following news item in the Washington Times, which exposes Warren’s real goals.

The Rev. Rick Warren, one of America's best-known evangelical Protestant pastors, pleaded with about 8,000 Muslim listeners on Saturday night to work together to solve the world's greatest problems by cooperating in a series of interfaith projects.

"Muslims and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions," Mr. Warren said during an evening session of the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) at the Washington Convention Center.

"I am not interested in interfaith dialogue but interfaith projects," said the pastor of the 24,000-member Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., who is widely known for his bestseller "The Purpose-Driven Life." (unquote)  Warren is saying, what we believe is irrelevant, ignore your beliefs and join hands to make a better world. That is a denial of the teaching of Christ.

Warren called for a “coalition of people of good will” to accomplish some goals that would be beneficial to society.

This is exactly what the Harlot of Revelation 17 is about.

Jesus said in Revelation 18, concerning the Harlot Church. ...”Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partaker of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

Jesus said that we are not to be involved in seeking to build this world system, he said, “Let us go forth therefore outside the camp, (of this world) bearing His reproach”. Heb. 13:13

The world is a sinking ship, we are not to seek to rescue the world, we are to rescue as many as we can from the sinking ship. God has a plan for this world, and He will bring it to pass, in the meantime our commission is to preach the gospel to every creature.
